Our hikes range from easy (2-3 hours on gentle trails) to moderate (4-5 hours with some elevation). We can match hikes to your fitness level. Generally, if you can walk 2-3 hours comfortably, you can enjoy most of our hikes.
Wear: Comfortable hiking shoes, layered clothing (temperatures change), hat, sunglasses. Bring: Water (1-2 liters), sunscreen, camera, small backpack. We provide hiking poles if needed and picnic lunch.
While some trails are marked, we highly recommend guides for navigation, cultural interpretation, safety, and discovering hidden viewpoints. Our guides also handle transportation and permits where needed.
Morning hikes (6-11 AM) offer clearer mountain views and cooler temperatures. Afternoon hikes can be warmer with possible cloud cover. Sunrise/sunset hikes are specially timed for optimal photography.
Yes, we can create custom itineraries combining shorter hikes. For example: Morning at Australian Camp, afternoon at Peace Pagoda. We'll ensure the total distance and difficulty matches your energy level.
Absolutely! We offer gentle hikes with minimal elevation gain, frequent breaks, and optional vehicle support. Many seniors enjoy Chandragiri (cable car assisted) and Australian Camp (gentle trail).
We monitor weather forecasts and may suggest alternative hikes or reschedule. Some hikes have indoor alternatives (museums, cultural sites). Safety is our priority—we won't hike in dangerous conditions.
We provide hiking poles upon request and first aid kits. You'll need your own footwear and clothing. For specialized gear (like binoculars for birdwatching), please request in advance.
Yes! Our picnic lunches can be customized for dietary needs. Nepal has excellent vegetarian options. Please inform us of any dietary requirements when booking.
All guides carry first aid kits and communication devices. We have evacuation plans and vehicle access points on most trails. Guides are trained in wilderness first aid and emergency procedures.
